  • Longest suspension bridge in Africa when completed.
  • Designed to carry a railway on deck below the roadway, but I'm not sure if the railway was ever operational. From photos of the site, I don't see how the rail approaches could have been accomodated unless there are tunnels on both sides of the bridge.
