- Beautiful little iron suspension bridge. A Cairo Times article (June 12, 1997) by Samir Raafat describes describes it as a "light suspension bridge built by Alexandre-Gustave Eiffel and brought to Cairo when [Khedive] Ismail visited the Paris Exhibition" which dates it to around 1900.
