One of the few large eyebar suspension bridges built in the United States, the Dresden bridge is now closed to traffic and has been bypassed (by the non-descript crossing in the foreground of these pictures). Completed in 1914, it replaced an earlier suspension bridge that was destroyed by flood in 1913.
