Patrick writes, "this Thunder Creek Bridge was damaged during my visit [2003]. A 3 1/2 foot diameter hemlock fell the day before on one of the main cables between the anchor and tower at the far end of the bridge. It caused the main cable to come off the tower at the near end of the bridge... There were two national forest workers there cutting up the hemlock. I got there just in time to see them remove the final piece."
