The Delaware Aqueduct is the oldest surviving suspension bridge in North America. After several efforts in the 1980's and 1990's, the bridge has been restored to resemble it's original appearance. When I visited in the early 1990's, the cables and superstructure had been restored, but the towpaths had not been added yet.
