Patrick writes: "Late morning Friday, July 22, 2022. After my walkover of the new bridge, I took photos of the bridges from the banks of the Mississippi atop the Bettendorf floodwall in Iowa. I've included photos focusing primarily on the older Iowa-Illinois Memorial I and II bridges. A trio of photos from upriver capture the bridge(s) site with the older pair tucked in behind the newer."

Patrick writes: "I included this pair of photos - one each of the 1935 and 1960 bridges, to show differences between the two. First will be the 1935 bridge (has the new bridge in the background). The 1935 bridge has web plates (circled) on the underside of the top chord with five rivets on each side. Those web plates on the 1960 bridge have six rivets each side. The 1935 bridge has gusset plates (arrowed) without notches at the diagonals. The 1960 bridge's gusset plates are all notched. The deck of the 1935 bridge where the guardrail stanchions are affixed to the leading edges are considerably different than that of the 1960 bridge."
