Dave writes: "Your site [said] that the bridge is closed. I think it would be more accurate to say closed to the public. The gate is locked but from the state of the lock and hinges the bridge is in regular use. I believe from information supplied by locals that the land on the far side of the river from the gate is part of a Royal Estate. This could explain the locked gate. The bridge is right beside the A93 a couple miles from Braemar there is room for a Range Rover size vehicle to pull of the road by the bridge but there is also a no stopping sign."
