This is the second of three sets of photos (see 50th Anniversary Weekend and 50th Anniversary Bridge Walk (Part 2)) from Patrick's visit to the Mackinac Bridge on the weekend of the bridge's 50th anniversary celebration in September 2007. For this set, Patrick writes: "The bridge and it's features the morning during the bridge walk and shortly after stepping off the bridge. The first overall views are from immediately following the bridge walk -- still very much in progress by evidence of the many school buses transporting walkers to the start. Even throngs of walkers are visible in the zooms."
"The bridge is meticulously maintained and appears to have a fresh coat of paint -- even though it looks at times like it was just poured on."
