Javier writes: " This is a magnificent piece of engineering wich dates back from 104-106 in the times Trajan the Emperor by the architect Caius Julius Lacer. This monument is 71 metres high, 194 metres long and 8 metres wide. Supported on six wonderful arches, raised in the central part on parapets is the Arch of Triumph with memorial tablets to Charles V (Emperor) and Isabel II (Queen)."
