John writes this photo was taken "from the base of the Manhattan side suspension tower of the George Washington Bridge, taken from the southern aspect as the sun is going down and the night-lights are on. This was two summers ago [2003], the tarps are due to a massive painting and restoration project that's probably completed by now."
