Patrick visited the site of the remnants of the Camp Kline suspension bridge on June 24th and June 26th of 2005. In the photos, you'll notice the site is a USGS Gauge Station "on abutment of abandoned bridge". Patrick notes, "all of the pics where taken from the roadway side - the same as your postcard. Due to the vegetation, I was not able to capture the remains of this bridge from an angle like that of your postcard. You'll notice that the Pine Creek water level is lower than the 2 feet marker at the bottom of one pillar. Realize that nearly 33 years earlier to the day the water would have been a further 14 feet above my head while standing here [due to Hurricane Agnes]. (I'm 6' and with the point at which I was standing being about 2' on the gauge = 8' - or 14 feet below peak stream flow of 22.76' [June 23rd, 1972] for this location)." Patrick concludes, "if the water didn't do away with the bridge, I'm sure the debris did."
