This bridge is at mile marker 6.5 of the Virgil L. Gilman trail. Eckhard notes, "[the bridge is a] little more than half the way from Aurora to Bliss Woods (NW of Aurora)... Between the towers the bridge has two connected wire ropes on each side, the backstays are like long 'plates' and additionally there is one wire cable each side. So the bridge - like Batavia bridges [1st, 2nd] - has no saddles with through cables; the cables and plates are connected separately at the towers."
