  • 2021, October: Groundbreaking ceremony for long-anticipated restoration project. Expected to be completed in 2023 at a cost of US$44.6M
  • 2024, July: The bridge reopens following the completion of the multi-year restoration project.

The rehabilitation of the suspension bridge, which carries Wurts Street over the creek between Kingston and Port Ewen, could cost as much as $37 million, Cahill said previously. The state will pay for the project, which is expected to begin this fall."
