This is a list of the only bridge from the suspension bridge inventory crossing Marais Des Cygnes River. Please note that different rivers with the same name will be grouped together.   • Sign at bridge reads: "Long Creek Suspension Bridge. This is a replica of the bridge that once spanned Long Creek at Francis Crossing approximately 2 miles southwest of Melvern. It was the only known bridge of this design in Kansas. The bridge was originally constructed between 1885 and 1890 by the Wilden Bridge Company. The original bridge was 100 feet long and 13 feet wide. It was designed for horse drawn hay wagons..."
