Wayne writes this is "the Roop's Mill Suspension Bridge over Meadow Branch Creek, along MD-140 between Westminster and Taneytown. Roop's Mill was built in the 1780's. The bridge was constructed for the miller to travel from his house to the mill. It is about 200 or 300 feet from the house to the mill. The bridge is two spans with three towers... The bridge is currently derelict. The last picture shows the middle tower but it ended up being too overgrown from the road to show the span from the middle to the house."
