- Damaged by lightning 1859, rebuilt, cables cut during war 1870, rebuilt 1874, possibly rebuilt 1936, deck collapsed 1940, repaired 1946 carrying just a footbridge, rebuilt 1950, reinforced 1983 to support heavier traffic.
